![]() They all do it, I get it but give me something for it. We were charged $39 per day for resort fee. I couldn't get dessert even though i was well within the supposed hours of operation. And despite the hours posted on the web site you cannot get food at times. Well, if you don't mind waiting in a near empty bar - 2 couples and a single person - waiting 15 min while standing next to the bar only to never get to place the drink order. What is somewhat open is the Marsh Tavern. All three days we were there the Falcon Bar was never open, apparently its only open on the weekends. This is hotel 101, the door person is your first contact - they greet you ask small questions about your travel, get your name. ![]() Once inside i took my own luggage off the trolley and brough it to my room. Upon arrival the two men at the door didn't budge, i had to take my own luggage out of my car and then asked them for a trolley and put my own luggage on the trolley. ![]() The staff appears inattentive and untrained. The building itself is fine, yes, its old but it has charm. We hadn't been in about 10 years and remembered it fondly. Our family getaway was wonderful and so is the Equinox. Special shout-out to Leah in the restaurants, we'll long remember her personal warmth and super professional hospitality skills. These folks seem to love their jobs - they're always smiling and happy to help. And for the trifecta: the staff is terrific from check-in, to restaurants, to help from the front desk, to the gift shop, to speedy and accurate check-out. The food at the Equinox is sophisticated and very well-prepared, including the gorgeous fruit, cheese, and champagne amenity tray. We enjoyed dinner the first night in the Chop House restaurant, pricey and absolutely worth every penny and the second night had cocktails and bar bites in the Marsh Tavern after a hearty lunch in town. as is the much-appreciated all-day coffee and tea service. It was a great choice to come to the Equinox! The accommodations are perfect: up-to-date, clean, bright, spacious and pretty rooms and public spaces are large, warm and welcoming, the blazing fires in the fireplaces a really wonderful touch during these wintry days and evenings. Last week my siblings and I took our mom for a two-night stay to celebrate her 90th birthday.
